Join Lucinda Scala Quinn at Hooks Book Events  and Stir Food's new monthly book author series - "Food for thoughts"  - at Zola Wine & Kitchen.  This new author series brings together best selling writers in the culinary arena and Washingtonians who are interested in expanding their knowledge of cooking and entertaining, at the most state-of-art test kitchen/neighbor wine shop in the city.

Mad Hungry Book CoverLucinda Scala Quinn will showcase her new cookbook, Mad Hungry: Feeding Men and Boys.  She will share winning strategies for how she gets the men in her life, a husband and three sons, to manage well in the kitchen.
 
Mad Hungry offers single-skillet recipes that are a cinch to stretch for extra guests.  Her grab-and-run breakfast will help kids start the day right, and her healthful drinks make it easier for guys to say no to soda.  Quinn is also the author of Rustic Italian Cooking, Lucinda's Authentic Jamaican Cooking and Jamaican Cooking:  140 Roadside and Homestyle Recipes.

 
Lucinda Scala QuinnLucinda Scala Quinn started cooking professionally as a teenager, and over the years has honed her skills working as a chef, cooking teacher, caterer, and food writer.  Quinn currently serves as VP, Editorial Director of Food & Entertaining at Martha Stewart Omnimedia, appears regularly on The Today Show and Martha, and hosts a weekly radio show, "EatDrink" on Martha Stewart Lining Radio and co-hosts the Everyday Food cooking series on PBS.

The wine shop features "great find" wines from around the world with over 400 different varieties and 6,000 bottles ranging from famous vintages to lesser known boutique producers, exciting new offerings and rare cult wines.

Refund Policy

Ticket reservations purchased for events are “final sale” and nonrefundable. There is no ticket refund for arriving late or leaving an event early.

Please note the following:

Purchaser Unable to Attend Event

If ticket purchaser is unable to attend the event, Hooks Book Events cannot give credit toward another event. In addition, if a book was included with the ticket purchase, books will be sent only at the purchaser’s request and expense.

Event Rescheduled

If an event date/time is rescheduled or postponed, there are no cancellations, refunds, or exchanges. Tickets for a postponed event will be honored on the rescheduled event date.

Event Cancelled

If an event is cancelled for any reason, Hooks Book Events will provide a full refund for the ticket price only. If a book was included with the ticket purchase, the book will be sent to the purchaser at his/her expense. Any processing and/or shipping charges are nonrefundable.
